I'm a mixed media artist based in Wiltshire. I love movies especially Sci FI but also love the outdoors. These are both reflected in my work - sometimes more obviously than others.
About NJP Pastel Art & Illustration
Hi, my name is Nathan Pegler, a Wiltshire based soft pastel artist. 10 years ago I ventured into a full time art career, after 20 years working for Honda in Swindon. I got the art bug back some 25 years ago creating work for family as Christmas gifts. Until then I had not used any medium since my A level days in 1990! So I decided to end my Honda career, and with my mojo back start my own business, creating original pieces of artwork in my unique style. Using a professional quality printer means I can produce high quality limited edition print runs as well as cards myself.
Production Methods
I create original artwork, mainly using pastels but also acrylics, oils, pencil, alcohol markers, pen and ink - all very old school with just a bit of digital editing to prep scanned images for printing. I have been dabbling in pastels for over 35 years and while my style is my own, you may be able to see some of my influences in my work! I would describe my style as loosely abstract although I have surprised myself at producing some very detailed, technical pieces as well. I have a high quality printer which allows me to produce limited edition prints at any size up to 24" (65cm) wide. Plus I partner with a sublimation printer and can produce my artwork on coasters, bookmarks, mugs and many other items.
Celebrating 10 years!
Back in November 2024, I celebrated 10 years of NJP Pastel Art & Illustration at our wonderful local pub, The Winterbourne, that has a permanent display of my artwork (for sale). With my wife Sam of Samstables Designs, we designed and printed a series of A2 boards charting the evolution and growth of NJP over that time. Click any board to see it larger.
